How Node Setup Works

1. Book Your Setup

Choose an available appointment and provide basic information about your validator goals.

2. Prepare Your VPS

Purchase a compatible Virtual Private Server using the required technical specifications. HOV can provide guidance when selecting a provider.

3. Configure Your Node

HOV configures the server, installs the validator software, and applies the required network and security settings.

4. Verify Operation

Your node is checked for synchronization, peer connectivity, service health, and explorer visibility.

5. Complete the Handoff

You receive your server credentials, basic monitoring instructions, and a one-on-one operator walkthrough.

Minimum VPS Requirements

Your Virtual Private Server should meet the following minimum specifications:

• CPU: Equivalent to 8 AWS vCPUs

• RAM: At least 16 GiB

• Storage: At least 250 GiB of available disk space

• Operating System: A currently supported Ubuntu version

• Network: Sustained upload and download speeds of at least 5 Mbps

A properly configured VPS provides the required computing resources without requiring you to purchase or maintain physical hardware.

What You Are Responsible For

• Protecting wallet credentials and private keys

• Paying third-party hosting and network expenses

• Responding to future network-upgrade notices
